East Peoria, IL - The Illinois Central College baseball team dropped both games to Heartland Community College on Thursday, losing game one, 15-18, and game two, 10-16. The Cougars are 21-32 overall and 19-11 in conference play. 

Game one featured two home runs from Micah McCoy, Jake Morrill and Ashton Corley, as well as doubles from Ryan Brucker, Kyle Miller, and Aidan Fulton. The high-powered offense wasn't quite enough to secure the win, with Heartland taking game one, 18-15. 

Game two was highlighted by home runs from Jake Morrill, Tyler Humphrey, and Ben Lapp. Micah McCoy and Kyle Miller each registered a double. Despite the high-scoring from the Cougars, Heartland pulled out the win, 16-10.  

ICC will play the second doubleheader against Heartland on Friday, May 1, at 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
