Meadow Terry, a sophomore on the Illinois Central College softball team, was named All-Region 24 as announced on Wednesday. Terry, a pitcher/first baseman, leads the Cougars in the circle with a 17-4 record while pitching 122 innings. She currently has 137 strikeouts in a total of 22 appearances, holding opponents to a 0.225 batting average.
Terry has also been a force in the batter's box, hitting .385 with 42 hits, including 6 home runs and 10 doubles.
Meadow is a graduate of East Peoria High School and is the daughter of Dorothy Terry.
The Cougars won the Region 24-B Championship title on Sunday to advance to this weekend's Central District Tournament in Champaign. The schedule appears below.
