Bourbonnais, Ill.---The ICC women's basketball team racked up a lot of points in their exhibition game against Olivet Nazarene University's varsity team on Friday night. The ONU women, an NAIA team, play a unique style they call "Tiger-Ball" where they press the entire 40 minutes, substitute five players in every :45 seconds, and shoot over 50 three-pointers a game, making for a somewhat wild contest. Per NJCAA rules, pre-season scores cannot be reported but it can be noted that the teams combined for 219 points in the high-scoring affair.
Individual highlights:
T'yana Lovelace - 26 points, 9 rebounds
Kayla Gordon - 21 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds, 1 charge taken
Keijah Gray - 20 points, 10 rebounds
Cierra McNamee -12 points
Saniya Tutt -12 points
Next up: The Cougars will play their final pre-season exhibition game on Thursday, October 28th as they host Morton College at 5:30 pm in Ramsey Gym. Livestream will be available on the ICC Athletics' YouTube Channel.
