East Peoria, Ill.---The ICC women's soccer season came to an end in the Region 24 championship game as they dropped a 2-1 decision to Lewis and Clark on Sunday at CougarPlex Soccer Field. ICC trailed 2-0 until the 85th minute when Teresa Aviño scored to make it 2-1 but that was all the offense the Cougars could muster.
"We just never were able to get going," head coach
Javier Valle said. "Give credit to Lewis & Clark as they came to play. Their goalkeeper was amazing as she kept us scoreless until the near end. I'm very proud of our young group; we will learn a lot from this experience as our program moves forward," said Valle.
The Cougars finished their season with a record of 8-6
