East Peoria, IL - The Illinois Central College Women's Soccer team returned to the pitch at the CougarPlex on Saturday afternoon to battle the Lincoln Trail Statesmen after a bit of an unexpected six-day layoff following their game with Black Hawk on Wednesday being called off. The Cougars were not fazed, holding off the Statesmen for a 2-0 shutout and returning to the win column after a loss at Southwestern Illinois this past Sunday.

The goal-scoring was well distributed, with Theresa Hechler and Ximena Palacios both finding the back of the net once each.
