Belleville, Ill.---The ICC women's soccer team had their eyes set on a big win at #4 (in DII) Southwestern Illinois College, but the Blue Storm took the game by a score of 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. SWIC (9-1) scored their lone goal on a deflection off of an ICC player in the first half to escape with the victory.
"We dominated the game in terms of possession, but we lacked creativity in the final third which hurt us in the end," head coach
Javier Valle said. "But, we'll learn from this and keep improving."
Next up: The ladies (6-2) have a key Region 24 matchup with Lewis & Clark on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 4:00 pm in Godfrey.
