The Illinois Central College women's soccer team left this afternoon (Friday) to travel to Council Bluffs where they will play in the Central District Tourney on Saturday, November 5 against Iowa Western at 2pm for a ticket to the NJCAA DI National Tourney.

Scouting the Reivers:
- are 14-3-1 on the season and ranked #7 in this week's NJCAA DI national poll
- won the Region XI Tourney for the 7th straight season with a 4-0 win over Indian Hills
- on a 13-game winning streak (last loss was 4-3 to Eastern Florida State on August 27)
- four players made the Region XI All-Tournament Team: Marta Llopis (MVP), Hanna Schimmer (Offense), Pilar Casa (Defense), and Bella Washington (GK)
Scouting the Cougars:
- 16-0 on the season and ranked #14 in this week's NJCAA Division I poll
- won the Region XXIV Tourney for the first time in school history with a 5-1 victory over Wabash Valley
- on a 16-game winning streak
- Paula Gallardo was named Region XXIV Player of the Year for the 2nd consecutive season and Javi Valle was named Region Coach of the Year
A total of twelve teams qualify for Nationals---the eight district champions earn an automatic bid and then four at-large bids are awarded. Nationals are November 13-19 in Evans, GA.
