Robinson, Ill. - Isabella Guerra and Louisa Bruns each scored goals to give the #19 Illinois Central College women's soccer team a 2-0 victory over Lincoln Trail College on Sunday afternoon. The Cougars scored both of their goals in the first half to take the early lead and then kept the Statesmen at bay for the remainder of the afternoon to get their first Region 24 win of the season. The Cougars move their overall record to 2-1-1 while Lincoln Trail dropped to 2-1.
Guerra's goal came courtesy of a Bruns' assist while Bruns' goal was unassisted.
The Cougars were on the offensive during the match as they had eleven shots on goal compared to just one for LTC. Cougar goalkeeper
Alba Vigo recorded one save.
