East Peoria, Ill. - Valeria Duque had a goal and an assist to help the Illinois Central College women's soccer team to a 3-0 win over Jefferson College on Wednesday evening at CougarPlex Soccer Field.  The Cougars got the victory despite again being short-handed due to injuries but persevered to get the win.  ICC's record stands at 7-3-2 while the Vikings fell to 0-5-1.

"We're proud of the team for pulling through our third game of the week with a limited roster," coach Javi Valle said.  "It's tough not being able to have a full squad but we're hoping we can get back to full strength again soon."

Isabella Guerra scored the Cougars' first goal on an assist from Duque.  Duque then booted in a goal on a pass from Luiza Junior dos Santos for the second score.  The home team's final tally came on an own goal by Jeff Co.

The Cougars will travel to Region 24 leader Lewis & Clark for a Saturday game in Godfrey.  The Trailblazers defeated the ICC 1-0 on September 16.
