Godfrey, Ill. - The Illinois Central College women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Region 24 leader Lewis & Clark on Saturday afternoon in Godfrey.
LCCC had defeated the Cougars 1-0 back on September 16 and were able to remain undefeated in Region 24 play with the win. ICC is now 7-4-2 overall (2-3 in Region 24), while the Trailblazers improved to 9-3-1 overall and 6-0 in Region 24.
"It was a weird game as no one really dominated any aspect of it," coach Javi Valle said, "and neither team created many chances to score. They scored off a corner kick and a huge mistake on our part but other than that it was a dry game. It's unfortunate that we're still missing players but hopefully this week we can finally get them back."
