East Peoria, Ill. - Vivienne Hardiman, Kirsten Bruhns, and Nele Flerlage each scored goals to lead the Illinois Central College women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Olivet Nazarene University JV on Thursday evening at the CougarPlex Soccer Field. 

It was Hardiman's third goal in the last two games, as the Cougars have now won four straight.  

"This was another good win for our team," coach Javi Valle said.  "We had a few starters out with minor injuries, but even then the girls played well under the circumstances.  Now we have to recuperate quickly as we play Saturday once again."  

With just three regular season games left, the Cougars celebrated Sophomore Day for their sophomores---Gabriela Acevedo Pacheco, Sophia Gonzalez, Rylee May, Isabella Guerra, Domenica Soliz, Kirsten Bruhns, and Jessi Lownds---and were happy to send them off with a win.

The Cougars (4-4) will step out of Region action this Saturday as they are at Oakton Community College in Des Plaines before finishing off Region 24 play at Lewis & Clark (Oct. 12) and at Southwestern Illinois (Oct. 16).  Post-season play begins with Districts on October 25.
