East Peoria, Ill - The Illinois Central College women's soccer team dropped their home opener 2-0 to Southwestern Illinois (SWIC) on Tuesday afternoon in Region 24 action.
"This was a tough loss," coach Javi Valle said. "We controlled most of the game, but couldn't finish our chances while they put away their only ones."
The Blue Storm scored a goal in the first half to take a 1-0 lead and then added a security goal after intermission to get the win.
ICC fell to 0-3 (0-1 in Region 24) while SWIC moved to 2-2 (1-0 in Region 24).
The Cougars face a tough test on Saturday as they host Region foe Lewis & Clark in a 3pm contest.
