The Illinois Central College women's soccer team will open the Central District Tournament on Friday, October 24 against #2 seeded Indian Hills at 12:00 pm. Districts will be played at Glazebrook Park on the campus of Lewis & Clark Community College in Godfrey, IL.
 
"We're looking forward to competing in the district tournament once again," coach Javi Valle said. "As usual, our district is one of the best in the country - if not the best. This year alone we have three top 10 teams in the nation & another two in the top 25 so it's exciting."

The Cougars are coming off of a 3-2 win over Lincoln Trail on Friday and bring a 3-8-1 record into the match. The Warriors, who are currently 12-3 and ranked #7 in the latest NJCAA poll, are coming off a 6-3 loss to #6 Iowa Western on Friday.

Tori Morin and Alexandra Husson lead ICC with five goals apiece on the season.
 
"Even though it's been a bumpy road for us with many external factors, and despite our record, we are a team that can beat anyone if we play the way we know how to play so looking forward to it," Valle said.

If the Cougars win on Friday, they would play #1 seed Lewis & Clark on Sunday.
