East Peoria, IL - Members of the Illinois Central College women's basketball team volunteered at the Illinois Cancer Care Foundation's 16th annual CUREagous event on Friday night. 

The team greeted guests and worked the coat check area throughout the evening. Approximately 500 people attended the fundraiser, which was held at the Par-A-Dice Hotel. 

Players working were Emily Dana, Addy Engel, Kam Heider, A'Meah Lester,  Lily Luczkowiak, Maziah Shelton, Larissa Taylor, Ellie VanMeenen, Hannah West, Kaitlin White, and Piper Whiteman.

The Illinois CancerCare Foundation supports the Illinois CancerCare physicians and staff who are relentlessly working towards finding better treatments, therapies and ultimately cures for many forms of cancer. The clinical research trials currently conducted through Illinois CancerCare ranks top 10 in the nation and the Foundation strives to increase patient participation in these clinical cancer trials. In addition to supporting research, the Foundation funds education, awareness programs, and support and assistance programs for patients.
