East Peoria, Ill. - The Illinois Central College women's basketball program hosted their annual "FUN-damentals" summer camp for 5th-8th graders earlier this week. A total of 41 campers worked on a variety of skills including ball-handling, passing, shooting, defense, rebounding, and offensive moves during the three-day camp held at Ramsey Gym and the ICC CougarPlex.
In addition to skill stations and competitions, the camp also featured a daily "team talk" where ICC women's basketball players and staff shared about how to be a good teammate, the importance of doing your best in the classroom, putting in extra time to improve, and how to "play the next play" after making a mistake.
Competition winners were:

3 on 3 Champs (7th/8th): Peyton Bernhausen, Sophie Mefford, Stella Mefford - for the 3rd consecutive year!
