EAST PEORIA, Ill. – The Illinois Central College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Tacuma Sadlow as the new head coach of the Cougar men's soccer program.

A former ICC student-athlete and recent assistant coach, Sadlow brings a championship background, collegiate coaching experience, and a deep connection to the ICC soccer tradition.

"We are excited to have Tacuma take the reins of the men's soccer program and continue to strive for national excellence," Director of Athletics Rob Buss said. "His experience as a player and coach, along with his passion for Illinois Central College, make him an outstanding fit to lead our program."

Sadlow's soccer journey is closely intertwined with Illinois Central College's tradition of success. As a wing back for the Cougars in 2017, he helped lead ICC to a Region 24 Championship and a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament.

Following his time at ICC, Sadlow continued his playing career at Western Illinois University, where he was a member of the 2019 Summit League Championship team.

After completing his collegiate playing career, Sadlow transitioned into coaching. He served on the coaching staff at Western Illinois University during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, gaining valuable experience at the NCAA Division I level. In the summer of 2024, he also coached with Junction FC, a pre-professional club focused on player development and advancement.

For the past two seasons, Sadlow has served as an assistant coach for the Cougars, helping guide the team to a Region Championship this past fall.

A proud ICC alumnus, Sadlow earned his Associate's Degree from Illinois Central College in 2018 before completing his Bachelor's Degree at WIU in 2020.

Sadlow replaces former coach, Gabe Carreno, who left ICC for another coaching job. Sadlow's duties began June 1.
