East Peoria, Ill. - The Illinois Central College women's soccer team had a complete performance on both sides of the ball as they blanked Wabash Valley 4-0 on Saturday afternoon in Region 24 action at CougarPlex Soccer Field. Wabash had defeated ICC 2-0 back on September 9 so the win was exactly what the squad needed.
"This was our best performance from start to finish that we've had so far this season," head coach Javi Valle said. "Even with key players still out due to injury, the team executed the game plan perfectly. Now we need to recover as much as possible so we're ready for Jefferson on Wednesday."
ICC is now 6-3-2 overall and an even 2-2 in Region 24 play while Wabash falls to 4-5-1 overall and 2-2 in Region 24.
