Canton, IL - The seventh-ranked Illinois Central College Women's Basketball team (19-4, 9-0) rolled to an 86-55 victory over Spoon River (4-18, 1-9) on Wednesday night, as all players contributed. The Cougars opened up a 22-10 lead and never looked back to get their 11th straight win and their 14th win in their last 15 games.
Addy Engel provided the firepower with 10 first quarter points on a variety of drives and finishes while
Addi Swadinsky and
Lily Luczkowiak combined for nine points in the opening frame. In the second quarter,
Kamryn Heider nailed tow three-pointers while Luczkowiak had two steals for layups and
Cora DeSutter finished on the interior to give ICC a 48-24 halftime edge.
The teams played nearly even in the second half, as the Cougars got scoring from a variety of players - including cuts by
Kaitlin White and
Gracie Heckert, a drive from
Lauren Maas, inside scores by
Larissa Taylor, and treys from
Savannah Orgeron and
Madison Jobe.
