Tori Morin and Alex Husson each scored goals to lead the Illinois Central College women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Wabash Valley on Thursday afternoon in Region 24 action.
"I'm proud of the work the girls put in after facing some adversity," coach Javi Valle said.
Morin's goal gave ICC a 1-0 lead as the teams broke for halftime. Husson's score came in the second half and served as the go-ahead goal. Goalkeeper
Gracie VanQuakebeke had 2 saves on the day.
The win evened the Cougars' region record to 1-1 (1-5 overall) while WVC dropped to 2-7.
